Learn the stack-and-payoff interaction on sword
Use Inner Track Slash’s two-stage sequence or Second Track Slash to build weapon Bleed. At five stacks, Inner Balance Strike III consumes the setup for the burst payoff. Watch the target’s counter before pressing the special skill; a partial stack is not the same condition.
Our suggested first exercise is to create the stack, pause to recognise its indicator and then perform the consuming action. If the stack disappears earlier than expected, inspect which follow-up you used. Some sequences cash out the setup sooner than a beginner intends.
Use the spear to support the target window
Use Heavenquaker Spear’s charged heavy attack to apply Soul-Shaken. Sober Sorrow supplies the spear’s supporting buff sequence, whose combo requirements change with Wolfchaser’s Art development. Learn those actions separately before combining them with sword so you can recognise each effect.
Soul-Shaken’s full DoT vulnerability bonus requires actively using Strategic Sword or Heavenquaker Spear.
Once the spear’s intended effects are established, return to sword and complete the payoff while the relevant conditions remain active. If a boss mechanic interrupts the setup, rebuild the missing condition instead of blindly continuing from the next input.
Check the tier behind a demonstrated follow-up
Sword Horizon supplies a timed follow-up after specified sword actions. Wolfchaser’s Art changes the spear’s combo behaviour as it develops. A high-tier demonstration can therefore show a sequence that your freshly unlocked pair cannot yet reproduce.
Fivefold Bleed is a separate optional Inner Way with Weeping Blood. It does not replace the weapon’s own Bleed meter. Learn that distinction before trying to diagnose a missing High Bleeding payoff.
Build a short repeatable loop
- Use Inner Track Slash and confirm five weapon Bleed stacks.
- Swap to spear, use Sober Sorrow and apply Soul-Shaken with the charged heavy attack.
- Return to sword and use Inner Balance Strike III while the setup is active.
- Check whether the expected effect occurred and whether Endurance remains for defence.
- Repeat the same short loop before adding Mystic Skills.
