Choose the next effect before opening chests
Open Develop → Inner Ways, select an equipped Inner Way and read its next breakthrough. Note the required material name and how many Notes you are missing. Compare that unlock with the next effect on your other equipped choices.
Our suggested priority is the next effect you can actually use. A conditional bonus will not help a rotation that never triggers it. Do not spread every available chest evenly just to make all four progress bars look similar.
Read the contents before choosing a chest

Keep unopened selection chests until you know the shortage they will solve. For example, if one breakthrough is close and another still needs a large investment, a precise selection may finish the first immediately. That is a budgeting choice, not a claim that every chest shares the same pool.
Lock useful Notes before Tips Exchange
- Open the Inner Ways menu and enter Tips Exchange.
- Lock Notes for the equipped build and any alternative you have actually planned.
- Review the remaining selection, especially after using auto-add.
- Recycle only the Notes you have decided to give up.
- Inspect the shop’s chest contents, price, stock and reset before purchasing.
The exchange currency is labelled Vintage Bookplates or Bookmarks in different English descriptions. The useful distinction is what the transaction does: unwanted Notes become shop currency. A random Recommendation Tome still has a random outcome; exchanging repeatedly is not an unlimited source of free upgrades.
Compare both sides of Conversion
Conversion supports Purple and Gold Inner Ways of the same quality. Inspect the resulting tiers and remaining Notes on both sides. General and Path-specific choices can have different Note values, so do not assume that every conversion preserves the visible Note count one for one.
Conversion also has availability restrictions. Read the free-use counter and cooldown before confirming a temporary experiment. If your goal is simply to equip an already learned option, changing your loadout may be enough; that does not require transferring its development.
The May 28 update set paid Conversion to 500 Echo Jade after free uses are exhausted. January’s change automatically locks Notes after Conversion to protect them from recycling. Check the confirmation cost and the resulting locks before returning to Tips Exchange.
Equip and verify the intended result
After a breakthrough or conversion, confirm that the intended Inner Way is equipped. Read the newly available condition and add it to your rotation deliberately. If the condition concerns Bleed, a named weapon effect or an Exhausted enemy, practise that exact trigger before judging the upgrade.

Does a Path chest guarantee the exact Notes I want?
Only if its contents explicitly let you select that named result. A random Path pool can contain several Inner Ways.
Is Conversion the same as Tips Exchange?
No. Tips Exchange recycles Notes into shop currency. Conversion changes eligible Inner Way development and has its own limits and costs.
