Complete Ever-Normal Granary and defeat Zheng the Frostwing. Claim Mending Loom, then Comprehend and equip it in the healing setup you intend to use.
The campaign’s flower mechanisms and the boss’s ice attacks are separate hurdles. Use the relevant walkthrough for the part blocking you; repeating ordinary granary exploration does not replace the campaign completion.
Start with the correct umbrella
Mending Loom supports Soulshade Umbrella, the healing art. Vernal Umbrella is the offensive umbrella and has a different resource loop. Owning an umbrella equipment item alone does not establish the right Martial Art interaction.
Learn Soulshade’s special deployment and Dew use before judging the passive. Some descriptions use Echoing Grow for the special skill; match it to the healing umbrella action in your current interface rather than treating the translated name as a separate ability.
Spending and recovery are connected
The passive provides Dew-related support and an additional healing interaction after enough Dew is consumed. This makes actual resource spending relevant. Remaining at full Dew indefinitely is not the same as operating the loop.
Do not spend healing resource into a healthy party solely to force the extra effect. The primary heal still needs a useful target and timing. A well-timed recovery window matters more than reaching a passive threshold as early as possible.
Later tiers alter who benefits and when
Progression changes the recovery interaction’s interval, spending requirement, detection range and eventual target behaviour. Those are meaningful differences between a newly learned art and a developed healing setup.

Review a real recovery window
For a proposed practice check, observe one manageable group-damage event. Deploy the umbrella, use the pair’s normal healing actions and watch both Dew and the passive’s additional heal. Avoid changing gear during the comparison.
If the party survives but your resources collapse, review the sequence before adding more output. If Dew remains unused while allies need healing, improve targeting and timing first. Mending Loom supports a functioning healing loop; it does not automate every recovery decision.
