Complete Unearned Lesson first
Qiu Yuehai is near Moonveil Peak in Qinghe; look around the rocky approach and track Unearned Lesson. The early quest is associated with level 8 progression. Finish the tutorial and reward dialogue rather than leaving as soon as a stealth prompt appears.
The lesson introduces Veil of Stillness and the observation process, and provides an early Dragon Key. Learning this system does not instantly unlock every weapon art. Each destination still has its own access route and successful observation requirement.
Track the art you want before spending a key
- Open Develop and select the Martial Art you want to learn.
- Open Obtain and inspect its available acquisition methods.
- Track the Skill Theft route if one is listed.
- Travel to the indicated dojo and read its entry requirement.
- Use a Dragon Key only when it opens the destination you intended.
Not every art is acquired in exactly the same way. A sect route, story reward and locked dojo are different unlock methods. Tracking from the actual art is safer than entering the nearest locked compound and hoping it contains your preferred weapon.
Where Dragon Keys come from
Besides the introductory lesson, documented sources include first-clear rewards from Qinghe outposts such as Tiger Fort, Gourmand’s Grove and Bloomveil Monastery. Solo Mode breakthrough rewards can also include keys. Check the reward preview and whether you have already claimed it.
Treat a first-clear key as a one-time reward, not an endlessly repeatable drop from the same camp. If you are short, compare your unfinished outposts and unclaimed progression rewards before spending time replaying a cleared location.
Reach the vantage point and complete observation
Follow the mission’s stealth route to a position where you can observe the master. Watch patrols and restricted areas; the lesson is not simply a normal fight with a weapon reward. Wind Sense can help identify the relevant observation point.
During observation, respond to the golden rings at the indicated timing and avoid reacting to grey cues. The aim is to fill the comprehension meter before the attempt expires. Focus on the cue colour and closing ring rather than pressing continuously.
If the attempt fails, separate navigation from timing: first learn a reliable route to the vantage point, then concentrate on the observation sequence. Trying to solve both at once makes the source of failure harder to see.
Equip the art and learn its actual moves
After success, check the Martial Art entry to confirm it is learned and available to equip. Weapon ownership, learning an art and upgrading that art are separate steps. Open its skill descriptions before investing in a matching Path.
A new art may change your defensive tools and resource loop even if it uses a familiar weapon category. Practise its basic sequence against a safe target, then decide whether to develop it as a main option or keep it as an alternative.
