Unlock Everspring Umbrella through Skill Theft at South Imperial Garden in Kaifeng’s Jadewood Court. Reach the connected east tower, cross onto the main roof and descend through the building to the blue observation circle above the master. Complete the minigame, then equip the new Martial Art on an umbrella.

Enter from the tower and roof
Bring Touch of Death for the guards and travel to South Imperial Garden. Work up the exterior ramparts and tower route rather than walking directly into the guarded lower rooms.
- Reach the east tower connected to the main building. Use its upper route to get onto the main roof.
- From the upper roof, move left to the lower roof and enter through the opening.
- Descend inside using the wooden platforms. Cross the room towards the stairs, then use the rooms and corridor below.
- Wait for each patrolling guard to turn away before using Touch of Death. Use the small table as cover before entering the next room.
- Drop into the final room and follow the narrow planks to the bookshelf. Stand on the blue circle overlooking the master and complete Skill Theft.
Chests along this route are optional pickups. The important final interaction is observing the master from the marked position; simply reaching the floor below or collecting a chest does not complete it.
Use the returning umbrella’s cue
Scarlet Spin starts Flower Burial and lets you spend Fading Crimson on returning throws. Watch for Scarlet Spin to light up as the umbrella returns, then press its input for Perfect Catch. The returning motion and sound also help you find the timing.
Our practice suggestion is to stay at a consistent distance from one target and learn a single throw-and-catch cycle. Add another throw only after you can recognize the return. Repeatedly pressing the input without watching the cue makes it harder to tell whether the timing was correct.
Use the action name when setting up your controls. A keyboard binding quoted in a video may not match a controller or a remapped layout.
Separate the charged throw from the movement skill

Our recommendation is to learn where the phantom lands before using the exchange near a ledge or a boss hazard. A successful position swap is only helpful if its destination is safe. Once these separate actions are familiar, add Unfettered Rope Dart’s setup and finisher.
