Find the reward route
Snake Doctor is in the Encircling Lake area of Qinghe, through the cave route north of the lake. The encounter’s first-clear reward supplies Star Reacher. Defeat the boss, collect the reward and Comprehend the Inner Way before trying to equip it.
The snake-filled approach has its own investigation involving Snake King’s Bone. If traversal is the problem, solve that preparation rather than assuming the boss itself requires a particular weapon. Keep the cave approach and the arena fight as separate tasks.
Use the condition named by the effect
Star Reacher supports the fan’s Lingering Bone interaction. Older descriptions often reduce the effect to launching an enemy. That can confuse players fighting bosses that cannot be visibly launched like ordinary enemies.
Use Peak’s Springless Silence and inspect the target condition and your buff. The useful question is whether your own qualifying setup was applied, not whether the boss performed a dramatic airborne animation. A later official correction also addressed reapplying Lingering Bone; stale descriptions can therefore mislead diagnosis.
Integrate it with the umbrella
A fan-and-umbrella pair wants setup followed by meaningful attacks while the target remains available. Apply the fan condition, then connect the umbrella actions you can reliably land. Do not stretch the sequence so long that the short benefit is gone before the main attacks begin.
This is a sequencing principle rather than a fixed input script. Encounter movement, your unlocked skills and passive tiers change what fits. Begin with a short sequence you understand and lengthen it only when you can explain what each added action contributes.

Separate unlock and combat problems
If Star Reacher is absent from the learned list, revisit the boss reward and comprehension step. If it is learned but does nothing, inspect active slots and the qualifying weapon action. If it activates but damage feels inconsistent, compare the duration of your useful attack window and target downtime.
Do not spend upgrade materials as a substitute for those checks. Upgrading a passive you cannot activate reliably increases investment without fixing the cause. Once its trigger is dependable, compare its next tier against the other passives in your Silkbind Jade setup.
