The quick answer
Defeat Void King in Gleaming Abyss for Divine Roulette. A successful deflection can grant a random benefit to the next eligible skill; the trigger interval prevents every deflection from producing a new roll.

Collect the campaign reward
Finish Gleaming Abyss and defeat Void King, then claim the Divine Roulette tome and Comprehend it. Do not confuse this campaign reward with Bitter Seasons, which is collected in the secret area after the boss.
Deflect first, then choose the follow-up
The passive can grant a damage bonus, a guaranteed Critical result or a guaranteed Affinity result to the next eligible skill. Its description includes Martial Art, Perception, Special, Charged and Varied Combo skills.
That makes action order important. If a small eligible action consumes the benefit before your intended payoff, the passive may be working correctly even though the larger hit looks unchanged. Identify what you press between the deflection and the attack you want to support.
Random does not mean uncontrollable
You cannot demand the same outcome on every roll, but you can control whether a useful skill receives it. Build a short post-deflection response around an attack you can land safely instead of waiting indefinitely for your favourite result.
There is a trigger interval and a limited buff duration. Repeated deflections during the interval do not promise repeated fresh rolls. Conversely, holding the buff too long can waste it without improving the next opening.
Understand the tier differences
Later tiers add defensive or Qi-related benefits and alter the main trigger’s interval or potential outcomes. Those improvements do not mean the base art is permanently active. Compare the exact feature of your next tier with the problem you are solving.
| Observation | Likely question |
|---|---|
| Deflect succeeds but no new main buff | Is the trigger interval still running? |
| Buff appears but intended skill is unchanged | Did an earlier eligible action consume it? |
| Result varies between attempts | Which random outcome was granted? |
| Build demonstration shows two benefits | Does it use a later tier? |
Use it where deflection is already useful
This is an editorial fit test: if your normal encounter plan includes reliable deflections and immediate safe follow-ups, Divine Roulette has a natural place to contribute. If you mostly evade and never activate it, buying more upgrades does not solve that mismatch.
Practise the defensive action independently before adding a complicated damage sequence. A random offensive reward should not pressure you into attempting a deflection you cannot yet read.
