The quick answer
Start at the Mysterious Colossus near Wraith Village. Freeze the two worshippers while their blue flames are lit, then make the central offering. Inside, the three Deer Shadows and the later skull pieces are two different puzzles.

Bring the tools before entering
Have Meridian Touch and Fire Arrows available. The first opens the worshipper gate; the second clears the growth involved in later paths. Activate each Gleaming Abyss Boundary Stone as you reach it so you can return to the correct depth.
At the colossus courtyard southwest of Wraith Village, stand on the empty red mat and select Imitate. Wait for the scene to finish, then use Wind Sense to follow the deer’s trail behind the statue.
Keep all three worship positions active
- Stay far enough from the two living worshippers that they remain in their prayer pose and the blue flames stay lit.
- Use Meridian Touch on each while that pose is active. Freezing them after they recoil preserves the wrong state.
- Approach the central statue and make the offering. If the door stays shut, back away, let both reset and repeat while watching the flames.
Once inside, collect fireflies along the route for the Glow of Fireflies illumination skill. Continue down to the Pond Boundary Stone.
Restore the three Deer Shadows

Return to the winding path only after all three echoes are resolved. The barrier to the Stone Coffin will then be gone; interact with the coffin to continue.
Collect the first skull before leaving the arena
Clear the puppet waves. Climb the stairs with ceremonial lanterns and purify the skull near the scattered papers. Keep this first piece: the later gate needs it. Continue to the upright coffin and collect the Human Cocoon’s Note and Stone Gate Key.
Use the key at the arena’s stone-gate mechanism, then descend toward the Bottom Boundary Stone. The wall beyond it opens a Build Mode puzzle, but you still need two more pieces.
Open the lower route and assemble the deer skull
- Backtrack between the Bottom stone and the Hero’s Tomb. Find the board and vines near the chest with Wind Sense; burn the obstruction to reach the lower path.
- Follow the Dream Echo and purify the remains beneath the deer.
- Continue behind that echo to the next deer and purify its remains too, then return to the wall.
- Enter Build Mode and place the collected skull and antler components in the matching recesses. If one is missing, check the earlier puppet-arena stairs as well as this lower loop.
Continue beyond the Void King
Follow the opened path and deer scene to the Void King. Prepare at the nearby rest point and complete both phases. After the victory, enter the Mist Gate and finish the remaining Dream Echo interactions rather than teleporting away immediately.
Explore the house overlooking the pond and its gold chest for Bitter Seasons. Use the lakeside mechanism to restore the connecting path, then finish the final deer-sign interaction. Divine Roulette belongs to the boss reward; Bitter Seasons is a separate chest pickup.
