Find the Nightdream Monk
Go to Thousand-Buddha Village on the northern side of Sundara Land in Qinghe. Speak to the Nightdream Monk and track Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept through the Journal. Follow the quest objectives rather than searching for a random Guardian Palm drop.
Complete the rituals and lantern procession
- Complete the three opening ritual objectives: Shi Yankou, Perfect Incense and Jingsa. Track each named objective and return to the Nightdream Monk when all three are done.
- Approach the procession and complete its dialogue. Take the ritual lamp and follow the marked route through the corridor and temple sequence.
- Investigate when the objective changes, then speak to the monk again. Continue carrying or setting down the lamp as prompted.
- Lead the villagers through the fire sequence. Continue to the rocky area where ordinary movement resumes.
- Follow the spirits, fulfil the final wish and illuminate the tablets in front of you. Finish the last conversations with the monks.
- Collect the reward and confirm Guardian Palm in your Mystic Skills list.
If progress stops, read the current objective before running back to the starting location. The procession uses interactions as well as movement; reaching a marker without completing its conversation or lamp action can leave the next stage inactive.
Recognise the three forms

Height alone is not the whole input condition. An ordinary jump or casual fall may not make the skill available. Use a combat action that leaves you airborne, such as Cloud Steps or the opening of Mighty Drop, then activate Guardian Palm during that state.
January’s update changed the height requirement for Guardian’s Beacon. Use the current skill description instead of an old fixed-height threshold.
Practise the transition before adding it to a fight
Our suggested sequence is Cloud Steps into Guardian Palm on a suitable target in open space. Look for the plunge, then practise the timing until the same form appears consistently. Cloud Steps is useful for learning the transition but does not guarantee the height for the Tier 3 form.
For the larger form, check the Tier 3 unlock and try the airborne window of Mighty Drop. Press Guardian Palm before the downward action completes. A floor-level cast after landing cannot become the high aerial version just because the previous move involved a jump.
