The quick answer
Speak with Kongkong and Luo Jiu at Beast Reverie in Kaifeng’s Fairgrounds. Use Celestial Seize to take Travelogue: Toehari from Liang Yuan west of the Main South Gate, return it to Luo Jiu, then claim the completed Wandering Tale reward in your Journal.

Start at Beast Reverie in the Fairgrounds
Reach Kaifeng City, then find Kongkong and Luo Jiu in the Fairgrounds’ Beast Reverie area. Continue their dialogue until Luo Jiu asks for Travelogue: Toehari. Track that objective so you can distinguish the requested item from ordinary books in your bag.
Take the book from Liang Yuan
- Travel to the Main South Gate Boundary Stone.
- Search the nearby street to the west for Liang Yuan.
- If he is absent, move the clock into daytime and check again.
- Use Celestial Seize to select and take the requested Travelogue.
- Return to Luo Jiu and complete the hand-in dialogue.
Use the item name as your checkpoint. Talking to the vendor or taking an unrelated object is not the same as obtaining Travelogue: Toehari. If the hand-in is unavailable, inspect the current quest objective and your bag before travelling back across the city.
Claim the reward after the conversation
Open Journal → Wandering Tales and claim the completed entry’s reward. Then check Develop → Mystic Skills for Dragon’s Breath and place it in a usable slot. Finishing the NPC conversation and collecting the Journal reward are separate steps.
If you remember using fire breath during an early demonstration, check the learned-skill list anyway. A temporary demonstration does not establish that the permanent unlock is complete.
Choose the sequence for your active branch
The base Dragon’s Breath attacks in front of the character and applies Ignition, also called Combustion in later notes. Face the intended target and use a safe opening so the attack connects.
For the base Drunken Poet interaction, develop that skill to its Drunken Haze breakthrough, apply the effect and then ignite the same target. The setup must land; having both icons equipped is not enough.
The optional Dark Scorch branch replaces Combustion. Cast it before Tier 3 Drunken Poet; the follow-up requires your own Dark Scorch, even in a group.
Our suggested practice is one complete interaction followed by a pause to inspect resources. Once you can reproduce the correct order, decide where it fits into your weapon sequence.
