Battle Anthem: Buddha Fort unlock and charged attacks

Free the Buddha Fort prisoner, learn Battle Anthem and understand which attacks benefit before spending Inner Way Notes.

The quick answer

Battle Anthem is a charged-attack passive obtained from the first completion of Buddha Fort. Defeat the guards and release the captive; an empty battlefield alone does not finish the rescue.

Finish both objectives at Buddha Fort

  1. Travel to Buddha Fort Outpost in eastern Sundara Land, Qinghe. Select the outpost marker so you can distinguish its objective from nearby world enemies.
  2. Clear the guards required by the outpost. Before moving on, search the fort for the imprisoned villager and complete the release interaction.
  3. Collect the first-clear reward, then open Develop → Inner Ways. Select Battle Anthem, complete its learning action and put it in an active slot.

The Tome is the acquisition reward. Notes are development materials used afterward. Repeating the outpost is not the next step when the entry is already learned; inspect the breakthrough screen instead.

Match the passive to your actual attacks

Its basic effect improves Charged Skills against bosses. A long animation does not automatically make an attack a Charged Skill: read the move’s description in your Martial Arts screen. Nameless Sword’s Vagrant Sword is a practical example to compare with your usual rotation.

Our suggested trial is simple: keep your weapons and other passives unchanged, choose a familiar boss, and look for the openings in which you already release a fully charged attack. If those opportunities are rare, solve positioning and Endurance management before buying more tiers.

Decide whether the slot is earning its place

Your situationUseful decision
Charged attacks are your main boss damageCompare Battle Anthem with the next breakthrough on your weapon-specific passive.
You mostly use ordinary light attacksDo not assume the basic charged-skill bonus covers that rotation.
You want the same loadout for PvPRead the current tier’s target wording; a boss condition does not describe another player.

A damage bonus cannot make an unsafe charge safe. Leave enough Endurance to respond after attacking, and stop charging when the enemy’s next move removes your opening.

If the reward or effect seems absent

  • Fort not complete: look for the captive after the guards are defeated.
  • Tome collected but passive inactive: finish learning it and check the equipped slots.
  • Expected damage change absent: check the skill classification, target type and tier text.

Common questions

Does every attack benefit?

The basic effect is tied to Charged Skills and a boss target. Read the active tier before applying that rule more broadly.
