Claim and equip the Day 3 reward
- Open the main menu and find A Warrior’s Journey in the newcomer reward activities.
- Select Day 3 and read the task or claim requirement displayed on your account. Claim Sword Morph: Tome when that reward is available.
- Open Develop → Inner Ways, learn Sword Morph and equip it. Return to Martial Arts and confirm you are using Nameless Sword.
Day 3 is a reward-track label. If the claim button is unavailable, follow the unmet requirement shown there; repeatedly defeating enemies is not a substitute for claiming the reward.
Understand the base trigger
The base interaction is Vagrant Sword charged to its second stage while a Qi shield is present. The passive adds sword-energy attacks and can consume extra Endurance. Check the shield condition before assuming that every heavy attack should produce the same burst.
Our practice sequence is to create a safe opening, establish the required shield, hold the charged attack long enough, then release while watching your Endurance. Compare that with an early release. This isolates charge timing from gear strength.
Why a rotation video may behave differently

These are separate unlocks, not a promise that an unupgraded Tome reproduces a finished build. Read the tier you actually own before copying a long sequence. In particular, Shadow Step’s movement alone should not be confused with completing the sword-energy condition.
Diagnose missing waves in order
- Check Nameless Sword rather than another sword Martial Art.
- Check that Sword Morph is in an equipped slot.
- Check the second charge stage and the applicable shield or breakthrough window.
- Check available Endurance before chaining another attack.
Once the trigger is reliable, work on using it during safe recovery windows. More waves are useful only when the boss stays in range and you can still avoid its reply.
