The quick answer
Use Quest for the next objective, Journal for wider activity and regional progress, Compendium for discovered collections, and your Profile’s Achievements tab for achievement rewards. These records overlap, but they are not the same checklist. After claiming something, inspect whether it arrived as currency, an item or an unlock.

Choose the question before the menu. If a quest asks you to speak to someone, a regional completion total will not explain that conversation. If you want the last collectible in a region, tracking the Main Chapter is not a complete collectible checklist.
Use Quest and Journal together
- Open Quest and select the exact story you want to continue.
- Read the current objective, then track it.
- Inspect the map for the destination and a sensible nearby travel point.
- Perform the named interaction and reopen the objective if the route changes.
- After the closing conversation or reward step, use Journal if you want to review the wider activity record.
A quest can ask you to investigate a detail rather than stand on a marker. When you reach the destination, read the verb: speak, search, observe, use or defeat. That often explains why running through the highlighted area does nothing.
Read completion at the correct regional level
Select the region you actually explored, then the category you intend to finish. A broad regional percentage, a subregion’s collectible count and a quest chain’s final step describe different scopes. A high number in one does not guarantee completion in the others.
Suppose your goal is collecting Oddities around one travel point. Note that area and its relevant record before leaving, complete a small loop, then compare the same record afterward. If the value does not change, investigate whether you collected an already completed entry or were looking at another region.
Completed map activities may be hidden by a filter. Use the map’s completed-gameplay display when you want to revisit an objective, then return to the progress record to judge completion. The presence or absence of an icon alone is not the full record.
Use Compendium as a reference, then act in the owning system
Inspect the category and entry you discovered. Read any available description or acquisition information, then claim a completed category reward where offered. A collection entry is useful evidence that you encountered something; it does not by itself establish that a related combat technique is equipped or a recipe is ready to craft.

This is especially useful when a collection appears complete but an action still fails. Move from the reference entry to the screen that performs the action. There you can see the remaining requirement instead of trying to activate a picture in the catalogue.
Find and claim achievement rewards
Open the main menu and select your portrait to reach Profile. Switch to Achievements, then open All Achievements to browse the categories. Use the displayed controller prompts for changing tabs rather than assuming a fixed number of shoulder-button presses.
- Choose the category with a completed or highlighted entry.
- Read the achievement name and condition so you know what was completed.
- Use its reward claim action where available.
- Inspect whether the reward is currency, an appearance, a title or another item.
- Go to the relevant destination if the reward still needs to be equipped or used.
The game’s achievement list is separate from your platform’s trophy or achievement list. Use the in-game record when searching for an in-game claim. A platform notification does not tell you that every related in-game reward has been collected.
Follow the reward all the way to its result

For example, claiming a gear chest from a reward track can leave your visible combat setup unchanged. That is expected until you open the chest, inspect its contents and equip a useful result. Diagnose the stage where the chain stopped before assuming the reward vanished.
Read each timed reward track on its own terms
Events, the Battle Pass and seasonal systems can have separate objectives, claim buttons, currencies and end dates. Read the active page’s dates and rules. A shop’s remaining stock is not the same thing as the number of activity rewards you can still earn.
Check whether a reward belongs to the accessible track or requires a purchase. Decide on the reward you want before accepting an offer. An event ending does not automatically mean every currency or every form of character progress disappears; look for an explicit expiry, conversion or reset rule.
A reward check that does not become another job
- Finish the activity you chose and its final objective.
- Claim its own completed reward.
- Inspect any related achievement or milestone you know you earned.
- Open only the reward items needed for your next upgrade or activity.
- Return to play, or leave one clear objective for the next session.
There is no need to interrupt every conversation to chase another notification. When a claim is time-limited, note its deadline. Otherwise, combining a few known claims into one menu visit is often easier to follow.

Is Journal the same as the Quest menu?
They serve different jobs. Quest is the place to select and track the current story objective. Journal helps inspect wider activity and regional records.
Where are achievements after the notification disappears?
Open your Profile through the portrait, choose Achievements and inspect All Achievements for the completed entry.
Do I have to clear every notification before continuing?
No. Check known completed rewards and genuine deadlines. Upgrade or purchase notifications are optional decisions, not a requirement to spend.
