Claim the Qinghe level 6 reward
Open the map’s Qinghe exploration progression and inspect the level rewards. Wind Rider belongs to level 6, at 9,000 exploration points. This is the regional exploration track, not character level 6 or a Martial Art upgrade level.
Earn regional progress through the activities shown on that map, then claim the reward rather than assuming it is equipped automatically. Once learned, locate Wind Rider in the Movement group of Mystic Skills.
The skill and regional flight permission are separate
Qinghe’s Afterglow Pendant is the earlier exploration level 4 reward. It supplies the region’s flight permission; it is not the same reward as Wind Rider. Kaifeng uses its own Flight Medallion. A character can therefore know a flight technique and still encounter a regional restriction.

For later regions, read that region’s exploration rewards and restriction message. Do not assume the Qinghe threshold is copied unchanged everywhere.
Select the movement skill before practising take-off
- Open the Movement category in the Mystic Skills menu.
- Select the learned flight technique you want to use.
- Move to an open area where regional flight is permitted.
- Use the Lightness Skill input displayed in your current control scheme.
- Practise take-off, steering and landing before attempting a narrow destination.
Your Lightness Skill input is separate from the four ordinary combat-skill slots. Platform controls can be remapped, so use the button shown in the game rather than trying to force a keyboard shortcut from a different platform.
How it differs from other flight unlocks
Meteor Flight has its own Afterglow quest route. Fan Glider is another exploration reward, while Thousand-Mile Flight is a separate acquisition. Learning one option does not imply that you have collected every movement skill.
The sensible priority is access to the places you want to explore. Our suggested order is to claim the regional flight permission, become comfortable with an available technique and then pursue Wind Rider if you enjoy completing Qinghe. There is no need to delay an entire quest chain because you prefer a different flight animation.
