Find the fisherman at Moonveil Mountain
Open the Journal’s Jianghu Legacy section and track Afterglow. Travel to the lake around Moonveil Mountain in the Witherwilds and speak to the fisherman, Master Qiu Yuehai. Continue the conversation and the short flight demonstration.
After the demonstration lands you on the beach, speak with him again. The trial flight is part of the lesson; leaving immediately can make it seem as though a skill you just used has disappeared.
Cross the floating wine jars
The next challenge asks you to cross the water using the floating jars and reach the boat. Face the next landing point before jumping. Our suggested approach is to treat each safe landing as a reset: settle your direction, identify the next jar and then move.
If you keep overshooting, stop trying to turn and accelerate throughout the entire jump. Use shorter corrections and keep the camera aligned with the route. The objective is reaching the boat, not performing the fastest chain.
Complete the fisherman’s final interaction and obtain the Meteor Flight manual. Confirm that the skill is learned before leaving the quest area.
Claim the Qinghe Rank 4 reward
Open Qinghe’s exploration progress from the map and reach Exploration Rank 4. Claim the Afterglow Pendant reward. Having enough progress without collecting the reward can leave a required step unfinished.

Why flight can stop working in another area
Learning a flight style does not automatically remove regional or instance restrictions. When the game reports insufficient exploration or unavailable movement, check that region’s exploration rewards and the current area’s rules. Do not repeat the Qinghe quest to solve a different region’s requirement.
Meteor Flight is one lightness style. Wind Rider is another Qinghe exploration reward, obtained at Rank 6; changing style does not bypass the area’s flight permission. Cloud Steps is a separate combat and traversal interaction, not a replacement for the Afterglow Pendant.
