Reach Mistveil Forest safely
Ghost Master’s world encounter is in the northeastern Mistveil Forest area of Kaifeng. If toxic fog blocks your approach, complete the local Ephemeral Blight encounter that opens the area before searching for a different entrance.

Watch the umbrella after a teleport
The boss uses close umbrella swings and attacks that change position. A disappearance can be part of the sequence rather than its end. Keep enough camera space to reacquire the boss, especially when the final attack arrives from behind.
For gold commitments, evade rather than attempting a standard deflection. The number of preceding movements is less useful than recognising the final committed hit. Avoid spending all your movement on the first visual disappearance.
Treat a barrage as several separate attacks
The airborne umbrella barrage provides repeated projectile timings, followed by a later finishing action. Do not turn the final projectile into your automatic cue for a long punish.
A proposed learning sequence is to defend the projectiles, pause to identify the finisher and only then attack. Once that distinction is comfortable, increase damage in the real recovery window instead of gambling on the apparent gap.
Manage the second-phase spirits
When the summoned spirits appear, deal with them while retaining a view of the boss. Watch the ground where a spirit dies: the remaining area can apply Possessed and leave you vulnerable.
Choose a path through the arena before committing to a wide attack. Clearing several spirits is less useful if you finish the animation standing in their dangerous aftermath. Reposition after the kill instead of immediately launching another stationary combo.
Respect delayed ground effects
The later umbrella slam has a delayed follow-up impact. Falling spider lilies add a second reason to watch the floor while defending incoming waves. Your safe location can change even when the boss itself is stationary.

Pick one troublesome sequence per attempt and reduce attack commitment around it. Healing and defensive tools should support learning that sequence, not hide a repeated positioning mistake. Once you can survive the later ground pressure, use the clear recovery windows for your main weapon’s setup and payoff.
