The quick answer
Open Talents → Basic, follow the connected nodes to Serene Breeze and spend the required Talent Point once its prerequisites are met. Equip the learned Mystic Skill. Its main purpose is to let you act again when an enemy’s control effect has trapped you.

Unlock it through Basic talents
- Open the character’s Talents menu and choose Basic.
- Move along the main branch to the Serene Breeze node.
- Unlock the connected prerequisites and satisfy the tree’s displayed investment requirement.
- Spend the point on Serene Breeze, then check the Mystic Skills loadout.
This is a talent unlock, not a random boss drop or a scroll stolen from a sect. If the node is unavailable, inspect the connecting path and point requirement. Talent Points come through Enlightenment progression from normal questing, combat and exploration.
Save it for a meaningful control window
Serene Breeze can activate while you are controlled. Nearby enemies hit by its effect also receive damage and an Endurance-recovery penalty. Using it only for that damage can leave you without the escape when the opponent’s next combo lands.
The July update changed its brief protection to Super Armor and added active-cast interactions with Seasonal Edge.
Our suggested practice: let one recognisable control sequence begin, use Serene Breeze, then move to a position where the follow-up will miss. Learn that escape before trying to turn every release into an immediate counterattack. Regaining control is useful even when you spend the opening on distance.
Check the loadout before blaming the unlock

Control removal does not replace normal defense against every attack. Continue reading the enemy’s cues and preserve enough resources to respond after the escape.
