The quick answer
Soaring Spin is in a chest above the large statue inside the Martial Temple’s underground arsenal in Kaifeng. Reach the Secret Edict Chamber, climb the statues, beams and ladders, then use Celestial Seize on the chest opposite the statue’s face.

Bring the three useful exploration skills
You need access to Kaifeng. Bring Celestial Seize for the high chest and Meridian Touch for the bell-door mechanism. Fire arrows are useful on the An Unholy Prophecy approach. Activate the inner Boundary Stone when you reach it so a fall does not force a complete restart.
Enter through An Unholy Prophecy
- At the Martial Temple in Jadewood Court, speak to the Mysterious Painter and follow An Unholy Prophecy’s markers.
- Cross the marked rooftops and continue through the narrow passage.
- When you meet the painter again, light the three hanging braziers with fire arrows.
- Stand on the nearby platform and use the An Unholy Prophecy emote from the Puzzle tab. Wait for the descent.
- Take the corridor opposite the barred section and clear the guards.
- Strike the jade bell, then quickly use Meridian Touch on the door knocker to open the way.
If the door closes before the interaction completes, repeat the bell and knocker sequence. Fighting the guards first gives you time to aim at the mechanism.
The cave-and-keys approach
You can also approach through the cave reached from the Pond Boundary Stone in southwest Kaifeng, between Pipa Chasm and the Martial Temple. Collect the two Treasury Keys in the underground treasury. At the fort near Dreamfall Cliff, use the secret rear door in the southwest building and follow the tunnels to the same bell puzzle. This is an alternative entrance, not a second Soaring Spin chest.
Climb the arsenal and retrieve the scroll
Past the Secret Edict Chamber checkpoint, clear the arsenal hall, including the banner-bearing enemy. Climb the smaller statues to reach wooden beams, then use the ladders to gain height. Deal with archers before crossing exposed beams.
Climb the largest statue at the far end. From its head, look towards the hall for the chest on the elevated beam opposite its face. Use Celestial Seize, collect the scroll and check Mystic Skills before leaving.
Apply the skill when healing matters
Soaring Spin combines a forward thrust with a spinning follow-up and healing reduction on a hit target. Our recommendation is to use it when an opponent is about to recover, then follow with pressure you can safely maintain. Casting it while the target is out of range wastes that opportunity.
Later tiers add options such as an earlier cancel and more reach. Read the tier you actually own before practising a cancel shown in an upgraded build.

Common questions
Is the chest a reward for simply finishing the temple quest?
No. Retrieve the separate high chest in the statue chamber and check that its scroll has been collected.
Why is the jade bell door not opening?
Strike the bell and use Meridian Touch on the knocker promptly; clear nearby enemies before retrying.
