In Harvestfall Village, follow San Qian’s information to the supposed Well of Heaven elder. Obtain the Large Pile of Jewelry he requests, return to him and accept his true Nine Mortal Ways invitation. Rejecting the trickster and joining the real Well of Heaven elder is a different outcome.

Complete the Harvestfall invitation
- Open the Sect clues once the system is available at level 10. Travel to Harvestfall Village in western Qinghe.
- Speak to San Qian at the restaurant and buy the information leading to the elder near the village tree.
- Accept that elder’s request to recover jewelry from his supposed old friend.
- At the marked target, use Wind Sense to identify the Large Pile of Jewelry. Obtain that particular quest item through the available interaction or Celestial Seize.
- Return the jewelry to the elder who sent you. When the deception is revealed, accept the Nine Mortal Ways invitation and complete the membership dialogue.
The decisive step is the return conversation. Speaking to the genuine Well of Heaven recruiter and fulfilling his wealth requirement leads elsewhere. If you have several initiation quests tracked, read the item name and the receiving NPC before submitting anything.
Already holding a Midnight Blades message?
A Rogue Decree bought from the Harvestfall Wine Seller can also produce a Nine Mortal Ways invitation when Icchantika rejects it. That rejection is a branch into the trickster sect, not proof that your character is permanently locked out of Midnight Blades.
If Nine Mortal Ways is what you want, follow the resulting invitation. If you intended to join Midnight Blades, use the White Decree from Icchantika and transform it through combat instead. Do not keep purchasing the same rejected token.
Know what membership asks of you
Mortal Rope Dart is the immediate Martial Art reward. This is not the same unlock as Unfettered Rope Dart, which has its own Skill Theft route.
The sect’s weekly activity requirement is 100 Fun Points. Disguises and the sect’s trickster activities are part of its identity, while failed deception and imprisonment can affect its precepts. Use the sect task panel to choose an activity you actually enjoy before committing to the weekly routine.
Our recommendation is to inspect the first promotion objectives before spending Reputation on optional purchases. Joining supplies access; it does not instantly grant every rank reward. Only one sect can be active, so finish any existing membership’s leaving process before the final acceptance.
