Track the named quest and equip Celestial Seize
Ask the Kaifeng City Wayfarer for the lead if needed, then track Streetwise Sage through the exploration side-story list. Meet Xue Chou leaning against a pillar in the Fairgrounds and accept his trial.
Have Celestial Seize ready before entering Huaixin Station. The objective is to obtain information and a confidential letter; fighting the guards does not substitute for remaining undetected.
Take the rooftop route into the attic
- Use the roofs to reach the first Khitan conversation and eavesdrop from the edge.
- Move to the next roof and listen through the noble’s window, then return above street level for the next conversation.
- When movement skills are restricted, use the adjoining lower roof and follow the longer route to the attic opening.
- Crouch through the opening. Stay on the upper beams and watch the gaps in the floor.
If you are detected, repeat the failed objective and change the exposed part of your route. Do not keep making the same jump through a guard’s view because it is the most direct line to the marker.
Listen, then take the correct object

Finish each eavesdropping interaction before attempting its pickup. If the item is not selectable, check that the current objective has advanced and adjust your view from above; jumping down changes the stealth situation.
Leave through the attic and follow the chase prompts
Exit by the attic window and reach the street. The thief encounter starts the pursuit back toward the Fairgrounds. This sequence relies on the displayed movement and jump prompts; use your current control bindings rather than a keyboard-only guide’s remembered buttons.
After reaching the final confrontation, defeat the disciple and finish the conversation with Xue Chou. Collect Evasive Charge: Tome and learn it through Inner Ways.
Check the failed stage rather than restarting everything
- Cannot enter the room: look for the crouching attic entrance, not the occupied ground-floor door.
- Cannot take an object: complete the associated conversation first.
- Chase keeps failing: watch the next prompt instead of trying to leave the scripted route.
- Quest finished but passive missing: check the Tome and learning action.
