The quick answer
After Jinming Pool, speak to Li Shoujie on the bridge above Jade Mirror Pond. Recover the Head from the northern memorial tomb, the Body from the underwater shrine beneath the gazebo, and the Wings from the vine-blocked cave above the southern waterfall. Return all three parts and finish his pond-side dialogue.

Speak to Li Shoujie on the bridge
Complete the Jinming Pool campaign, then visit the bridge connecting the Pipa Chasm and Martial Temple area above Jade Mirror Pond. Li Shoujie gives three clues corresponding to a burial mound, water and a waterfall cave.
Wooden Eagle part locations
| Part | Route from Jade Mirror Pond |
|---|---|
| Head | Follow the river north beyond the bridge, then turn west toward the small waterfall. Climb to the memorial tomb and investigate the grave. |
| Body | From the gazebo area, go east of the waypoint and dive. Find the submerged cave beneath the gazebo and inspect its small shrine. |
| Wings | Face south from the gazebo and climb the waterfall. Burn the vines at the cave entrance with a fire arrow, then open the chest inside. |
The two cave routes are easy to swap in memory: the Body is underwater and the Wings are behind burnable vines above the southern waterfall. Check the item name after collecting each part instead of retracing an already completed cave.
Hand over each part and complete the conversation
Return to Li Shoujie on the bridge and submit the parts individually. After the cutscene moves you to the pond or gazebo area, speak to him again. That final conversation completes the Wandering Tale; simply handing over the third part is not the last interaction.
If a handover is unavailable, compare the three item names in your quest inventory. A clue for the waterfall does not mean the Wings were collected, and visiting the burial mound without its investigation does not award the Head.
Prepare for Soaring Eagle
Continue the assembled Old Wooden Eagle handover to Shi Shouxin at South Imperial Garden, then allow the reported real-day wait before looking for Zhenzhen at Jade Mirror Pond. Keep the separate Wooden Eagle Diagram from the warship’s secret room for her request.
The physical parts, assembled eagle and diagram serve different steps. Keep track of the current NPC request rather than searching all three part locations again when the next quest asks for a diagram.
