The quick answer
In the campaign fight, keep enough distance to read Murong Yuan’s sword attacks, dodge the golden stab and stop attacking when she enters her counter stance. In phase two, defeat Murong Yuan while avoiding the Wooden Eagle’s support attacks; killing the bird is not required to win.

Reach the Jinming Pool encounter
Follow Jinming Pool: Petalfall Banquet in Kaifeng’s Jadewood Court. The story fight takes place in the oil-tank area on the lower deck of the Quintadent warship. Completing the campaign unlocks its repeatable encounter at North Imperial Garden.
Equip Meridian Touch before entering if you have learned it. Its interruption prompt provides an answer to a specific dangerous attack; it does not make every golden move parryable.
Read the whole attack before taking your turn

Use Meridian Touch when its interruption cue appears. Our suggested punish is one short, familiar skill sequence, followed by a return to readable distance. Extend it only after you know which recovery animation you are punishing.
Keep the second phase’s target priority clear
The Wooden Eagle adds tracking projectiles and swooping attacks while Murong Yuan continues fighting. Keep your damage directed at her when she is available. During a bird-only interval, defend and save your strongest cooldowns for her return.
Our camera priority is to keep Murong Yuan visible while leaving room to evade the projectiles. Chasing the eagle across the arena can turn the swordswoman into an off-screen threat. If both attack at once, use the opening to reposition rather than insisting on finishing your combo.
Complete the final prompted action when the eagle attempts to carry her away. Do not leave the sequence merely because the combat health bar has emptied.
Diagnose the failed attempt
Our retry checklist has three questions: did you attack her counter stance, miss the golden follow-up, or lose sight of her while watching the bird? Practise the responsible sequence next. A different weapon is unlikely to solve a repeated target-selection mistake by itself.
If your activity is labelled Hero’s Realm, read its group objectives before pulling. The campaign target priority alone is not a complete raid plan.
