Return the boatman’s pouch
Speak to Feng Jisheng near the Masterwood Hamlet Boundary Stone in Jadewood Court, Kaifeng. Ask the boatman by the docks for a lead, then search under the bamboo scaffolding beside the shrine’s outer corner for his coin pouch.
Return it and enter Lu Ban Shrine to speak to the character shown as ???, Murong Yuan. She sends you to two resonance puzzles. Cries in the Distance and Petalfall Banquet provide the earlier story context for these characters.
Buddha Statue Site: align both sound devices
From the largest Buddha statue, take the path to its right into the cave. Burn the vines near the locked gate with a Fire Arrow, climb through and descend onto the scaffolding by the first movable sound device.
- Rotate the first device until it points toward the second, then select Lift. From its initial position, this takes three rotations.
- Reach the opposite platform and rotate the second device toward the gate, then select Drop Down. Its initial arrangement also needs three rotations.
- Position yourself near the gate and shoot the hanging bell by the ramp.
- Use Meridian Touch on the resonating ring before the sound fades.
- Open the pedestal chest beyond the gate for the Jade of Artistry.
If you already changed the devices, use their targets rather than blindly adding three more turns. Height matters as well as facing: the first device is raised and the gate-side device lowered.
Tile Kiln: collect the second jade
Travel west from the Grand Canal Boundary Stone to Tile Kiln. Shoot the bell near its sealed entrance and use Meridian Touch on the ring. Open the box inside for the Jade of Craft.
Return to Murong Yuan with both jades. An optional chest collected on the earlier cave climb does not replace the Jade of Artistry behind the resonance gate.
Enter the shrine’s right-hand pool
Inside Lu Ban Shrine, face Murong Yuan and the altar, then dive into the pool on the right. Swim to the bottom and through the submerged passage to reach the laboratory.
The outside pond near the coin-pouch search is a different landmark. If you cannot find a deep passage, check that you are using the pool within the shrine compound.
Break all three laboratory rings

Prepare your bow before riding the moving platform. Still Waters can help with the timed shot if available, but the essential sequence remains bell first, Meridian Touch while the ring resonates.
Collect the token and hand it in
After the third ring, return to the lower chamber and open the golden chest for the Jade of Way. Let the scene finish to receive the Mohist Token, then use the nearby signpost to leave.
Return the token to Feng Jisheng at Masterwood Hamlet. The laboratory chest is the major reward stop, but this final handover closes the Wandering Tale.
