The quick answer
Start Windpress: The Scoop with Qiao Yize near Caomen Avenue in Kaifeng’s Fairgrounds. Follow Liu Zhi’s memory, document the supposed monster, and return to write an article with a title, text and image. Speak to Du Gantang afterward to receive Wind Whispers and unlock Eastern Herald in Wandering Paths.

Find Qiao Yize at the Fairgrounds
From the Caomen Avenue Boundary Stone, go west and look for Qiao Yize speaking near Wine Seller Li. Ask about the correspondent and investigate his report of a white-furred creature. The introductory quest may appear under Windpress: The Scoop before the Eastern Herald name.
Follow Liu Zhi’s memory and save the image
- Find the informant Liu Zhi south of the Boundary Stone, toward the east side of Velvet Shade.
- Enter the memory and speak to Lady Wu near the disturbance.
- Follow the traces and chase the supposed monster westward.
- Watch the confrontation involving Qing Erniang.
- Use the portrait interaction to record the aftermath and save the image before leaving the memory.
The saved portrait supplies the visual evidence for the article. Merely reaching the end of the chase does not complete the documentation step.
Submit the introductory article
Return to Qiao Yize and report the investigation. Open the writing interaction and supply all three required elements: a title, the main text and the saved image. Base the article on the incident you just investigated, then complete the submission prompt.
If submission is unavailable, check the image slot as well as the text fields. A saved portrait still needs to be selected for the article. This handover is the quest objective; it is different from opening a daily quiz or reading a newspaper entry.
Speak to Du Gantang and open Wind Whispers
After submitting the article, enter the tower and speak with Du Gantang. This closing conversation awards Wind Whispers and opens Eastern Herald in the Wandering Paths system. If the feature is still locked, check the tower step before repeating the investigation.
The feature supports player-written reports with text and images. The later Wind Whispers: The Informant is a separate follow-up quest; its cockfight photograph is not the evidence requested for this introductory monster story.
