Use Blissful Retreat as your starting point
Travel to Blissful Retreat in Qinghe and take the route toward West Heaven’s Pier. Look beside the stream for the unusual goose-and-bear encounter. The exploration quest is Who’s the Boss?; once available, tracking it is the easiest way to return to the correct spot.
Stay on the opposite side of the stream and look for Observe. Walking directly into the animals can disrupt the scene you need to study.
Learn from the goose’s timing prompts
- Approach the encounter without attacking the animals.
- Use Observe from across the stream.
- Start the skill-learning sequence.
- Press the displayed input when the gold cue appears.
- Complete the meter and confirm the Honking Havoc unlock.
Do not copy a controller button from a walkthrough if your screen shows a different input. The timing cue is the useful part. If the scene stops before learning finishes, return to the observation position and check the quest state.
Use the honks to affect a group
Honking Havoc produces area damage and applies Breath-hold, followed by a smaller attack as the goose struggles free. Position the main group in the honks’ area rather than judging the skill only by the final close-range hit.
It uses a meaningful amount of Vitality, so make room for it in your sequence. Our suggested first test is a single cast on a manageable group, followed by checking the remaining resource. That is more informative than immediately chaining every available Mystic Skill.
