The quick answer
Blossom Barrage is the tome reward for Shadows in Bloom in Kaifeng. Enter the Heroic Assembly as Jiang Yi, play the drums 4–5–1–3–2, gather seven clues and follow the envoy to Nimbus Tower. Finish the booklet and fireworks objectives, then learn and equip the Inner Way.

Start Shadows in Bloom and enter the assembly
Ask the Kaifeng Wayfarer about Jianghu Legacy – Shadows in Bloom, or track it under Exploration → Side Story. Visit the waterfront crowd near Velvet Shade, follow the Nine Mortal Ways disciple and wear Jiang Yi’s disguise when prompted. At the entrance, present yourself as Jiang Yi.
For Bai Rong’s test, face the five drums. From left to right, strike 4 → 5 → 1 → 3 → 2: Zhi, Yu, Gong, Jue, Shang. Correct drums remain lit; if the glow resets, restart the sequence. Finish the conversation and take the boat to Revelry Hall.
Collect all seven Revelry Hall clues

Check View Clue before leaving each floor. General conversations and collectibles elsewhere in the hall do not replace these seven objectives.
Investigate the private room and solve the deduction
After the disturbance, go around the third-floor veranda and crouch through the side opening into the blocked room. Examine the powder, unfinished wine, unconscious person and fallen instrument before opening the deduction interface.
- Connect the visiting Jinling guests and the expensive guqin purchase to establish that the envoy loved the guqin.
- Connect that finding with the notes expressing longing to establish his admiration for Ruolan.
- Connect his admiration with Ruolan playing at Yunhua Tower to locate him at Nimbus Tower.
Submit the Nimbus Tower conclusion. If a deduction choice is absent, return to the clue counter and inspect the room objects; guessing another destination will not supply a missing clue.
Burn the booklet and complete the final scene
Go north to Nimbus Tower and climb towards the song. Defeat the attacker in the mist-filled room. Find the Yin-Inscribed Booklet on the balcony-side table with the mounted blue fan, then use the incense burner to destroy it.
After the scene, speak to Qin Ruolan, accompany her to the fireworks and complete the farewell. Claim the Blossom Barrage tome, learn it under Inner Ways and equip it. Finding the booklet alone does not complete the reward handoff.
Use the Vernal Umbrella interaction
Blossom Barrage lets Spring Sorrow apply Combo, which supports Vernal Umbrella’s projectile damage. Establish the mark before using the attacks that benefit from it. This is an Inner Way for Vernal Umbrella, not a new umbrella weapon.
July’s changes revised Tier 4’s Combo-marked damage bonus and changed Tier 5 to Critical Rate.
Our suggested practice is to confirm Combo on one durable target before adding weapon swaps. Use the tier in your own tooltip; the tome reward does not include every breakthrough.
