The quick answer

Guilds unlock at character level 20. Open the Guild menu to browse or apply, then choose a group whose activities and schedule suit you. To leave, open Member Roster, use View where required and select Leave Guild. Leaving has a documented six-hour restriction on joining or creating another guild.

A guild is a player group, separate from a sect

A guild connects you with other players for organised activities, shared progression and social play. A sect is an in-world affiliation with its own membership rules. Joining your friends’ guild does not itself decide which Martial Art or sect your character must use.

Before applying, decide what you want from the group: regular boss runs, competitive events, exploration company or conversation while playing. That answer is more useful than simply choosing the largest roster you can find.

How to find and join a guild

  1. Reach character level 20 and open Guild from the main menu.
  2. Browse the recruitment list or search for the guild you want.
  3. Read its description, activity expectations and normal play hours.
  4. Apply or accept an invitation using the available join option.
  5. After joining, inspect the activity page and announcements before signing up for a group event.

An application awaiting approval is different from a failed application. If a group uses manual approval, wait for a response or choose another suitable group; repeatedly pressing Apply will not make its officers log in sooner.

Choose by participation, not just the type label

Guild emphasisWhat to ask before joining
Combat / Bladesworn GangAre events learning-friendly, and when does the group organise them?
Exploration / Farshore HallDo members actually explore together at your usual hours?
Leisure / Changle PavilionWhich social activities run regularly, and is attendance optional?

These categories describe the guild’s emphasis, not a promise about its atmosphere. A relaxed combat group may suit you better than a leisure group with strict attendance requirements. Ask for one concrete example of the normal weekly schedule.

Make your first week useful

Check the activities that contribute to your guild’s current objectives, then join one you already enjoy. Claim completed rewards and learn where the group posts plans. There is little value in promising an ambitious weekly target that you cannot sustain.

Version 2.2 improved the roster so management can pin members and other members are ordered by previous-week activity. That makes the roster useful context, but activity numbers alone do not tell you who is available to teach a fight or help a new player.

How to leave without confusing it with disbanding

Open Guild → Member Roster. If the leave option is hidden behind the roster overview, select View, then find Leave Guild and read the confirmation. The reported rejoining and creation restriction is six real hours; check the current confirmation before accepting.

A guild leader should take particular care: Disband Guild affects the whole group and is not the same action as an ordinary member leaving. If your intention is only to move on, settle leadership arrangements first. Do not use disbanding as a shortcut to finding a leave button.

Plan a move after any event you intended to finish, and tell the new group about the waiting period. Do not promise to join its raid immediately after leaving the old roster.

Common questions

Do I need a guild to play the main story?

No. Guild membership is a separate social and activity choice.

Can I leave and immediately create my own guild?

The documented six-hour restriction also applies to creating a guild. Read the live confirmation for the current condition.
