The quick answer
Lucky Seventeen waits at the bottom of the Palace of Annals. Learn the fast unarmed follow-ups first, then adjust to the longer weapon reach and ranged pressure after the phase change.

Finish the descent to the forge
Enter the Palace of Annals and follow its underground route to the lowest chamber. The weakened floor, hidden passages and lift route are access problems; Lucky Seventeen’s fight begins once you reach the forge below them.
If the boss marker appears beneath you, use the dungeon route instead of searching the surface for an arena door. Finish your healing and skill preparation before committing to the encounter.
Do not mistake size for slow attacks
The first phase uses punches, kicks and sudden gap closers. Some recovery windows are generous, but the attacks themselves can arrive quickly. Keep your punish short until you recognise the follow-up that usually catches you.
The gold ground-ripping attack is a directional threat. Move away from its line and use the resulting flank only after the attack commits. A red slam can lead into another fast hit, so avoid treating the first defended impact as the end of the sequence.
Relearn reach when the weapon appears
After the transition, Lucky Seventeen uses a large scrap weapon and adds projectile pressure. Your first-phase spacing no longer guarantees safety. Give the broad weapon enough room and look for the branch after the opening slash.
If the follow-up becomes several slashes, continue defending. If it becomes a leaping slam, wait for that landing. The purpose of watching the branch is to avoid using one memorised dodge rhythm for two different endings.
Account for the empowered weapon
Later in the fight the weapon gains a poison effect. A small mistake can then continue costing health after the immediate exchange. Check the health bar before beginning another long commitment.
An editorial recovery plan is to use a completed heavy sequence as your healing window. Do not wait for critical health and then attempt to heal through the next projectile attack. If you repeatedly reach this stage with no supplies, shorten the earlier punish windows before changing the entire build.
A practical attempt checklist
| Problem | Next attempt’s focus |
|---|---|
| Fast punch interrupts you | Reduce the opening combo length |
| Gold ground attack catches backward dodge | Leave its line instead of retreating along it |
| Phase-two slash catches your approach | Reassess the weapon’s reach |
| Branching combo surprises you | Watch the action after the first slash |
| Health drains after an exchange | Account for the empowered weapon’s continuing pressure |
Finish and claim
Use Exhausted openings when they appear, then complete the post-fight interactions and reward claim. For repeat campaign rewards, inspect the Energy cost and selected claim amount. The first clear teaches the fight; repeat farming should be a separate resource decision.
