The quick answer
Heartseeker is the Still Shore campaign boss. Learn the close-range scythe swings, use the prompted counter when available, and leave the centre for cover when the second phase warns you.

Prepare before entering Still Shore
This is the campaign fight at the end of Still Shore. Arrive with your main Martial Art upgraded, healing assigned to a familiar input and the passive setup you actually intend to use. A menu change left half-finished is an avoidable distraction during the first pull.
You do not need to copy a late-game build to learn the encounter. Choose a pair whose short punish and defensive options you already understand; the cover mechanic matters regardless of the weapon’s damage ceiling.
Read the scythe’s whole arc
Heartseeker’s first phase uses broad scythe swings. Being slightly off-centre is not necessarily outside the weapon’s arc. Watch the actual reach and final follow-up before stepping back in.
Use short attacks between completed sequences. If a counter prompt appears while you are in position, use the input shown on your platform. Do not memorise a controller button from someone else’s layout when the game is already presenting your binding.
Respond immediately to the cover warning
In the second phase, Heartseeker moves toward the centre and warns you to find cover and stay away from it. Stop attacking, move outward and place the distant gravestones between you and the central attack.
Do not interpret cover as permission to ignore your health or the follow-up. Reassess your position once the large attack resolves, then return to a range where you can read the boss. Re-entering while the effect is still active can undo the benefit of moving out correctly.
Handle the increased lightning pressure
The later phase adds heavier lightning pressure alongside the established fight. Keep healing available and avoid spending every resource chasing a brief opening just before the central attack.
A proposed practice target is to survive the cover sequence twice without attempting damage during it. Once the movement is familiar, work on returning to the boss efficiently. This separates learning the mechanic from optimising the punish afterward.
Troubleshoot the attempt
| Where the run fails | What to change |
|---|---|
| Clipped beside the scythe | Respect the swing’s width, not only its forward reach |
| Counter prompt missed | Use the displayed binding and remain within its usable position |
| Central blast catches you | Begin moving when warned instead of finishing a combo |
| Survive blast but die immediately after | Check health and the next tell before re-engaging |
Claim rewards deliberately
Inspect the campaign reward panel after the clear. Additional reward claims can involve Energy, so choose the amount based on the displayed cost and rewards. A successful boss clear and a paid repeat claim are separate decisions; do not select extra claims merely to close the panel quickly.
