The quick answer

Mist-Shrouded Prison is near Central Mistveil Forest in Kaifeng. Its repeated corridors change as you progress. Burn blue buds to clear passages, use moving spike traps as platforms, and revisit the original blocked door after destroying the linked bud deeper inside. Six ordinary chests and the final treasure have separate counters.

Enter the tomb and clear the first corridor

Use the entrance lever near Central Mistveil Forest and take the lift down. Destroy the blue bud, inspect the journal and climb the left ladder. Explore the red room, then take the broken-wall route into the misty corridor and shoot the bud at its far end.

Clearing the forest and clearing the tomb’s local poison are different tasks. Watch your health inside and destroy the buds rather than assuming the outside antidote removes every interior hazard.

Use the first two spike mechanisms

  1. Collect the chest beyond the mist, then retreat to the stairs before the ceiling trap drops.
  2. Jump onto the safe top of the moving trap and ride it upward to the left ledge for another chest.
  3. Use the same lift route to continue toward the horizontal spike mechanism.
  4. Trigger its movement, shelter clear of its path and pass behind it when the opening is exposed. Search the alcove behind its starting position.
  5. Continue through the gate and return via the long ladder to enter the changing corridor route.

Observe a complete trap cycle before jumping. The safe top is a platform; the moving spiked face remains a hazard.

Use changed rooms and the red lady as landmarks

The red lady appears in different places as the route changes: the red room, the ladder area and later the blue-flower corridor. Continue through the familiar route while checking for new openings. Do not assume a repeated room means you have made no progress.

In the later flower corridor, destroy the blue bud and inspect the new room with a letter on its table. Check the nearby chest beside the red lady before moving on. Revisit the earlier horizontal-trap corridor too: a wall bud near the gate helps open the route back at the entrance.

Reach the hidden ledge chest

From the later letter room, turn right and look down through the floor opening. Wait for the horizontal trap to align beneath you, drop onto its safe top and use its movement to reach the upper ledge. Defeat the enemy there and open the chest.

This is a useful place to recheck if the ordinary chest counter remains at 5/6. Also revisit the early red room, the chest beneath the falling trap, its upper ledge and the alcove behind the horizontal spikes. The final treasure does not replace a missing ordinary chest.

Open the original blocked door and finish

From the hidden ledge route, continue through the shaft and use the moving trap to reach the side passage. Follow the lower openings to the remaining blue bud and burn it. The linked obstruction at the original entrance room is now removable; return through the gates or lift route and enter behind the journal area.

Collect the final treasure and complete the Rest in Peace interaction when available at the coffin/red-lady scene. Check both counters before leaving: the final chest and the six ordinary chests track different objectives.

Common questions

Why is Mist-Shrouded Prison still at 5/6 after the final treasure?

The final treasure has its own counter. Check the ordinary chest on the hidden ledge reached by dropping onto the moving horizontal trap, plus the earlier trap alcoves.

How do I stop repeating the prison corridors?

Progress through the changed versions of the rooms, destroy the blue buds and use the moving traps to reach side routes. The linked bud deeper inside opens the original blocked-door route.
