The quick answer
Spend toward a named near-term goal: develop the build you use, buy the exact material that closes a useful gap, and keep enough currency for the next required step. Separate cosmetic wishes from progression purchases. A weekly limit does not make every shop item a priority.

Choose the result before opening the shop
Write one sentence describing what you want the purchase to accomplish. “Finish the next breakthrough on my equipped art” is specific enough to price. “Get stronger” is not. Inspect your inventory and available rewards first so you do not buy a material you already have in a box.
Keep your immediate goal separate from longer-term collections. A cosmetic can be a good purchase if it is what you value; a combat material can be poor value if it develops something you never use. The point is to choose deliberately, not to impose the same priority on every player.
A starting order by currency
| Currency or resource | First question | Reasonable early approach |
|---|---|---|
| Coin | What do my next active-build upgrades cost? | Reserve that amount before convenience purchases. |
| Jade Fish | Which Season Shop item closes a real shortage? | Compare development needs with other rewards you want. |
| Echo Jade | Is there a specific unlock or appearance I am saving for? | Keep a target balance instead of making unrelated impulse purchases. |
| Selectable boxes | What exact item and tier am I missing? | Open only when the answer is known. |
| Event tokens | What is the shop deadline and token rule? | Choose desired rewards before the exchange closes. |
Compare purchases by the outcome, not their rarity
Suppose one purchase finishes a useful upgrade now while another adds a small amount to an unused alternative. The first has an immediate, testable result. That does not make it universally better, but it explains why it is often the sensible choice for a character trying to clear the next obstacle.
For random boxes, budget around the stated reward pool rather than the item you hope to receive. A selectable reward can close a precise shortage; a random reward may not. Do not count the hoped-for result as guaranteed progress when deciding how much to spend.
Illustrative shopping decision: you need 6 more units of a specific breakthrough material and already hold a selectable box containing 4. Your remaining shortage is 2, not 6. Check the box’s tier and selection list first, then compare a direct purchase or short gathering route for those 2. A random box cannot be counted as filling the gap before it is opened.
Leave room for systems you actually use
Career Notebooks develop Healer and Scholar progression, and career-related purchases compete with other uses of your resources. If you enjoy those activities or need a particular improvement, include them in the plan. If you have not tried the career, complete its introduction before buying a large stock.
Apply the same reasoning to a new Path. Test the style first and list the passive and material requirements. Reset and conversion rules have changed in official updates, so the current confirmation preview should decide the cost of a switch.
A five-minute shop review
- Claim completed rewards and inspect existing material boxes.
- Price one immediate upgrade and protect its budget.
- Check stock limits for the specific purchases on your list.
- Review event expiry or conversion rules separately from weekly resets.
- Buy the planned amount, then stop browsing until you have a new reason.
After purchasing, complete the intended upgrade and use it. If you cannot explain what improved, reconsider the next purchase. A growing inventory is not necessarily progress, and leaving some currency unspent can be the right choice while you decide on a build.

Common questions
Should I buy every weekly limited material?
No. Compare its use, your stock and the goals competing for the same currency. Limited availability matters only when the item is useful enough to justify its cost.
Are gear boxes the first thing I should buy with Jade Fish?
Not automatically. The Season Shop also offers materials and Coins. Compare the box’s reward type and tier with your equipped gear, then price the exact development shortage you are trying to solve. A random replacement is a weaker plan when an affordable specific upgrade already meets the goal.
